State Bank of India – Probationary Officers Recruitments 2018 – Total Posts 2313

State Bank of India is inviting new Indian citizen for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) as per their eligibility. The selected candidates should be liable to do the job anywhere in India. Check the eligibility criteria and more details in the below post.

Post details: 

  •  Name of Post: Probationary Officers (PO)

Educational requirements: 

  • The candidates, who qualified graduation from any recognized university, are eligible to apply for this post. Final years of Final semester students are also eligible to apply this post.   
  • Those who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2018.

Age limit: 

  • The applicant age should be between 21 to 30 Years.  
  • The age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 Years. For Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) is 3 Years.

Application Fees: 

The application fee for the posts of SBI PO Exam Notification 2018 is given below. 
  • For General and OBC: Rs.600/- 
  • SC/ST/PWD: Rs.100/- 

Selection Procedure: 

The selection of Probationary Officers will be done through a three-tiered process: 

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination:

The preliminary test will be conducted online with 100 marks Objective type test. The test will have 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Phase II: Main Examination:

The main examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks.  Both Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. 

a) Objective Test: The objective test duration is 3 hours with 4 sections and 200 marks.

bDescriptive Test: 
The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English
Language (Letter Writing & Essay).  

      Phase III: Group Exercises (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)

Candidates qualifying for GE & Interview under 'OBC' category would be required to submit OBC certificate containing the 'Non-Creamy layer' clause. Candidates not submitting the OBC certificate containing the 'Non Creamy layer' clause and requesting to be interviewed under General category will not be entertained.

Examination Centers:

The examination will be conducted online in venues across many centers in India The list is given in the below notification broucher in Annexure I.

Pay Scale:

Starting pay is Rs.27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of Rs.23,700-980/7 to 30,560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

How to Apply? 

The eligible candidates must apply online mode only from 21.04.2018 to 13.05.2018. Other modes are not allowed.

2. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking.

Important points for online applicants:
  • The candidate should have a valid Email ID and mobile number for easy communication up to results announcement. 
  • Scan your recent passport and signed the paper. Adjust the upload dimensions as per the given below

o   Photograph image: Color image with 200x230 pixels dimensions with 20kb to 50 kb in size.
o   Signature Image: The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen. The signature image should be in 140X60 pixel dimension and 10kb to 20kb in size. Signature in capital letters shall not be accepted.
